Oral Presentation Task

I thought about what some of you said about not having a clear task description and not knowing how you will be assessed. That's a fair enough criticism.

If anyone needs an extension until next term, I'm happy to have a reasonable discussion about it.

I also have another option but I'm not sure if you have time to organise it.

Mission:

1) The whole class has to agree to do it and sign off on it.

2) Work in groups or individually, but the end result will be put together as one clip to post on this blog.

3) Each group or individual has to produce a 30second clip (NO LONGER) minimum 25 seconds.

4) Clip can include any audio/visual/text. Student producing to take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for things like *copyright and permission. Also credits at the end with full names.

*remembering that as students, and that it's not for commercial purposes, you have a lot of freedom here.

5) You can use photo's (I'm sure some of you have them on your blog), video, your voice, images you find... and anything else - if you're not sure feel free to email me to ask.

The topic is:

'What I've Chosen to Learn this Semester'

My assessment will be based on -

Could I understand what the message was?

What level of respect was shown for others?

What level of effort was put into this?

Was it appropriate for the audience(people who are going to watch it)?

I will give you the morning to put the final touches on your clip and I will spend lunchtime putting it together and we can watch it at The VRI as a celebration of my last teaching day with you all.

To be fair, I will ask for Chris, Jo P and Dave's assessments before I give you your final grading, because they might see you put some effort in that I don't get to see.

Remember if you're not sure feel free to email me to ask. I will also be at the VRI Thursday morning with a visitor, so you may ask me after he leaves.

Otherwise I look forward to listening to your oral presentations on Tuesday :). Have a good week.
